A description, photographs or sketch, and measurements are enough for an initial inquiry. We assess the modeling work and send a separate proposal. If you already have an STL or OBJ, the homepage calculator can estimate printing.

What a photograph can tell us
A photograph helps show the shape, installation method and damaged area. Several angles and a close view of the connection to another object are particularly useful. If the broken section still exists, show both sides. Clear construction details matter more than polished promotional photography.
A normal photograph does not establish exact size. Perspective changes visible proportions and hidden features remain unknown. Add overall width, length and height, plus important hole dimensions. If a measurement is uncertain, say so rather than guessing a value.
Write a short, practical brief
A useful request explains the result, its purpose, essential dimensions and quantity. For example: “I need an indoor housing lid. The fixing-hole spacing matters. One sample first to check fit.” This is a sample brief, not a claim about an actual completed order.
Send the information through the project request form. Add heat, moisture, sunlight or loads if they are relevant. A preferred date and budget can help frame the discussion. Modeling scope, price and timing are then agreed separately.
Files supported by the online estimate
The calculator accepts STL and OBJ up to 20 MB and 250,000 triangles. Export STEP or 3MF into a supported format first. Check the size after uploading. STL does not store measurement units, so the interpretation of its coordinates needs attention.
Rotating the preview changes the view, not the physical size. Scaling changes size; correcting the source units is a separate setting. The dimensions and accuracy guide explains the difference and what to check before submitting.
Agreement, documents and payment
For a suitable ready file, choose material, color and quantity in the calculator, then add your contact and delivery details. Requests for material advice or an individual estimate are reviewed before the solution and price are confirmed.
Modeling is a separate service that begins after its terms are agreed. Sending an inquiry alone does not oblige you to purchase. An Estonian order can receive an invoice; final international invoicing requires tax review. Receiving a request number does not mean that production has started.
Allow separately for modeling, printing and delivery
Production from an approved model takes 2–5 days, usually 3, after the file check and payment. Modeling and transit take additional time. One-day urgent printing needs prior agreement. A date entered in the form is a preference rather than a confirmed deadline.
Collect from the DECORDS workshop at Madara 33/1, room S1, Tallinn, or select delivery. Parcel-locker options cover Estonia and the Baltics, while other destinations use separate methods. Check the available service, price and transit estimate when arranging the order.
Common questions
Can I send a photograph I found online?
It can help explain the idea, but does not replace dimensions and the intended use. You must also have the necessary right to use the model or design. We assess feasibility after review.
Who can see my files and photographs?
An uploaded model is processed in the browser before submission. Submitted information is saved privately for workshop use. Customer source files are not automatically published in the gallery.
Find out what your model will cost.
Upload an STL or OBJ. If you do not have a file, send photos, a sketch and measurements. Modeling and printing are quoted separately.
